Strawberry and Black Sesame FroYo

It’s Summer and there is nothing more refreshing than a big scoop of ice cream. I am not a fan of super sweet ice cream so I like the balance this recipe has between sweet (condensed milk) and tart with the balsamic and yogurt. This is light and refreshing and great after being outside on a hot day. Try putting it in popsicle molds or just scooping it straight from a container into your mouth like I do. Either way this is so yummy I may have eaten half of the recipe in a day.

1 lb of Strawberries (caps cut off) + dice and reserve 6 for after the blending

1/3 cup white sugar

2 tablespoons Traditional Balsamic Vinegar de Modena

2 cups whole milk

2/3 cups condensed milk

1/2 cup plain yogurt

pinch of salt

1/2 cup dark chocolate chunks

3 tablespoons black sesame seeds

robust olive oil for drizzling

In a blender add the strawberries, sugar, balsamic, milk, condensed milk, yogurt, and salt. Blend on high until there are very few chunks of strawberry left. Pour this into a bowl. Add the sesame seeds, chocolate chunks, and the remaining strawberries and stir this together.

Pour into a freezer safe container or popsicle molds and freeze for at least an hour.

Top with a drizzle of olive oil or balsamic or chocolate and enjoy.
