Chili Chocolate Cake

There is nothing better than chocolate, coffee, and chili! Well maybe a margarita on the beach… but I’m landlocked so chocolate will have to do. Blah blah blah summer body. I will look like a whale in a speedo as long as I don’t have to live without this.

Cake 🍑:

2 c flour


2 cup cane sugar

3/4 c coco powder

2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp pink Himalayan salt

1 c buttermilk

1/2 c extra virgin olive oil

2 large eggs

2 tsp Good vanilla extract

1 c fresh brewed coffee

Frosting:

4 sticks unsalted butter

2 c powdered sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

5 Oz dark chocolate melted and cooled

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Sift all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Mix all the wet ingredients in another bowl. Fold in the dry ingredients into the wet slowly. Flour extra deep muffin pan or a 2 9inch cake pans.

Bake for 30 minutes muffin pan, 35 min for 9 inch or until a toothpick comes out clean.

For the Frosting: add the butter at room temperature. Then whip in the other ingredients until smooth.

Let the cakes cool and add the frosting to the top.
